#operationbinkyrecovery. an instagram project
i don't know how the word binky became our pacifier name. we tried so hard to make "mute button" stick - isn't that much cooler? all my babies have been binky babies. and with all my babies, i've filled their beds with lots of soothers in hopes that the chance of them finding one in the middle of the night would increase rather than waking me up! can't say that it worked since we don't make sleepers, but they don't wake for a binky, that's for sure!
when sloane moved to her very own real crib it was also when she created a new wake up routine. first you toss all your binkies so your mama and daddy know you're serious about getting out of your cage. once released make sure all binkies are accounted for. and if you can get away with leaving the room with one or two, then extra points! and so began my need to capture this cuteness. if you follow me on instagram, you know my regular postings of sloane squeezing under her bed and managing silly positions trying to get her noggin back out. most of the time i just have my phone on me but this day i came in her room with the real camera in hopes of freezing time. it's now become a game for us and she will even toss pacifiers back under the bed - this day i gave her back the tossed b's but after some snuggles and play she was rolling them under so she could show of her stealthy crawl.
while most are taken with just an iphone, it has become a personal project for me. just the kind i need in this stage of life with littles. easy, simple and a perfect reminder of a silly little thing that's all her own - that she won't do forever. i don't want it to get lost in the mom fog and with all these photos, there's no way that will happen.
