nora meets jude. bellingham newborn hospital photos
when i met up with nora in the parking lot she was hopped up on chocolate milk and winning silly string fights. she strolled right up to the childbirth reception desk and was buzzed right through after announcing that she was the big sister. skipping down the hall until we got close - she refused to knock on the door. but as soon as the door open, she jumped into her dad's arms and was soon snuggled into her mama gazing at the handsome burrito named jude. it was quiet in that moment.
i'm not sure how much quiet there has been after that. :) being able to capture newborn hospital photos in a more real and raw way is so refreshing. i will totally be the obvious broken record... but they NEVER look like this again. i grieve for the loss of memory i have for this day with mine.
but what makes these images even more precious is the connection. (as it is every time i press the camera shutter) a mom and dad who love their babies so hard. and a new connection - best friends for life - at least that's what we pray for as parents, yeah? it's off to a brilliant start because as nora held baby jude and he made those sweet newborn sounds she announced that he was talking to her and saying her name. well, of course he was. nora was so enamored by her baby brother i just couldn't break that connection and actually came back another day to grab more for photos of the handsome guy (look forward to more!). this day was just for jude's family to fight over him, i'd put money on his sister being the baby hog.
have you considered having your baby's birth day documented? i would love to hear from you - fill out the contact form here!
